I own, manage and provide services as Shooting Star Sound and Lights, a music entertainment service based out of Willmar, Minnesota. I have been a DJ operating under a family business since 2016 and have only recently began the development process of the business into its own brand fulfillment. We strive for effective communication and give full exposure of entertainment set lists to clients ahead of schedule for review so as to make your special event run flawlessly.

Here I am in charge of a wide variety of tasks around the store ranging from stocking meat, cooler, freezer, pastry, and produce to performing outdates on products that expire relatively soon. I also cashier when there is a direct need for help. I work between 25 and 35 hours per week at this establishment while I finish my last semester of college.

Design to, developed, and assisted in the branding of several large scale integrated campaign projects through the Comstock Memorial Union on the Minnesota state university Morehead campus. Portfolio pieces attained through this internship include social media graphics, print materials such as posters, floor stickers and buttons, digital media graphics for use in on campus television circulars, 2D SFX Animations, Video, Logos and Photography.

Duties include cashiering and customer service interactions through rainchecks, item finds and stocking shelves when product is empty. Duties also include verifying shipment manifests such that they coincide with incoming load, paying close attention to cooler shortages and product shortages on our liquor wall, as well as handling typical office duties such as taking out garbage and keeping up supplies. Creating and hanging tags, reviewing camera footage, and handling change funds are also important tasks with this position.

Duties include preparing deposits, performing safe inventories, balancing cashier drawers, preparing and filing reports, understanding cashier and register issues and their solutions, balancing self check out machines, preparing change funds, regulating the release of office supplies, handling money, assisting team members with regular cashier and service counter duties, and understanding and preparing postal manifests. Intense experience in customer service and problem diffusion through scheduled service counter and cashier shifts. Employee of the Month two times at Willmar, MN location.

Bookkeeping duties such as counting tills, creating deposit slips, sending deposits, accepting and processing change requests and balancing safe counts. Other job duties include payroll experience through completing weekly payroll assignments for department store and auto store staff, submitting documents for approval, connecting through the Sears generated user interface called 'Pebble,' and filing daily reports. My position was terminated when Sears closed down in March of 2017.

Duties included preparing and performing regular shows as an on-air personality, loading advertisements, taking regimented scheduled readings in accordance with fcc guidelines, recording weather segments, providing immediate communication in case of severe weather, checking mail and front desk messages and passing messages along into mailboxes. Work was largely independent, but heavily driven by communication.
