In-house activity responsibilities include flexible element molding and final test management.

    Project Manager of the Oil States Tendon Tension Monitoring System (TTMS). The TTMS is a large-scale electro-mechanical system used in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry to provide tension feedback for the mooring legs of Tension Leg Platforms, or TLPs. Oil States maintains the TTMS for 12 platforms currently commissioned in the Gulf of Mexico, and another recently installed in the South China Sea. Responsibilities in this position include:• Profit and Loss for multiple ongoing TTMS projects• Risk Management for these Projects • Providing the single point of contact between Oil States and its Customers • Supply Chain Management• Supervision of contractor organizations for both the Onshore and Offshore phases of each Project • Coordination of various teams at Oil States including:. o Project Engineering. o Quality Control. o Drafting. o Technical Writing. o Documentation Control. o Purchasing / ProcurementA significant accomplishment during the course of my career at Oil States has been the Primary Management of the development of an updated Data Acquisition System (Generation II) including both hardware and software. This new head end hardware is based on National Instruments cRIO data loggers, HP Proliant Servers, and multiple proprietary PCBs. It replaces a system designed in the early 1990s, and provides greater flexibility and scalability on many of the existing platforms, such as the Conoco Phillips Magnolia Platform, which was upgraded in early 2015. For new installations, though, the Generation II Data Acquisition System is paired with subsea improvements in cabling and connector technology for new platforms to maximize benefit, platforms such as Shell Oil’s MarsB Olympus and Chevron’s Big Foot in the Gulf of Mexico and Shell Sabah Petroleum’s Malikai Platform in the South China Sea.

Additionally, the product utilized both I2C and SPI synchronous serial communications, asynchronous serial communication, audio tone generation/amplification/detection, switching power supplies and battery backup.Performed all phases of hardware and firmware design of both the master bus controller and a secondary RS485 bus controller that handled communications with a wireless receiver communications bus.Developed standards for the production, revision tracking and storage of all schematic and PCB drawings produced with ACCEL EDA. Prepared and maintained schedules for firmware and hardware development.Traveled to customer installation sites in Texas, Maryland and Georgia in support of the first field installations of the product and worked with installers and end users in order to refine the product performance.
