Responsible for dealing directly with policyholders, claimants and third parties, investigating and evaluating a high volume of claims, including highly complex claims, claims with multiple applicable policies and claims with excess policies, determining liability and coverage with the authority to pay and deny claims, meeting regulatory deadlines, monitoring litigation, obtaining statements, fraud prevention, negotiating settlements, conducting on-scene investigations, reviewing and responding to inquiries from the California Department of Insurance, auditing files and ensuring compliance with the California Code of Regulations, Insurance Code, laws and statutes, subrogation and collections, reviewing and responding to complaints from policyholders and claimants, training employees, supervising staff personnel, evaluating staff personnel’s performance and completing performance evaluations.

Responsible for bodily injury and property damage claims/cases including investigating coverage and liability, evaluating bodily injury and property damage claims, corresponding with clients, first party and third party insurance carriers, negotiating settlements, preparing clients for recorded statements, conducting on-scene investigations, composing demand letters, Discovery, Complaints and other legal documents.
