Having lived and conducted research in many different countries, I'm a highly adaptable polyglot with excellent analytical skills and proven research experience primed to contribute to resolving global challenges. My scientific training combined with my diverse experience allows me to identify the key factors influencing a problem, while my language abilities and cultural knowledge enable me to approach issues from different perspectives. I have investigated patterns across space and time, ranging from one of the earliest confirmed uses of fire 1 million years ago, to legislation governing the manufacture and use of cyber-surveillance technologies. This results in my ability to understand the big picture whilst appreciating the finer details of challenges in order to resolve them. Holding an advanced degree in Global Affairs, I seek to contribute to resolving international challenges through analyzing data and proposing solutions. I have experience doing so professionally, where I mediated between users and developers to improve program functionality, and assisted clients in resolving issues. This proved valuable in research on the factors influencing the expansion of Canadian digital economy firms into Asia, where I supervised data collection and generated insights, the results of which highlighted sectoral preferences and improved understanding of trade relationships. To summarize, I’m a big picture thinker with an eye for detail, and my combination of technical and language skills allow me to quickly adapt to situations in order to successfully resolve challenges.
