As the Partner of the Employment Law and Human Rights practices at ECIJA, I am in charge of employment-related consultancy in the firm, and to assist our clients in their day-to-day issues, directing consultancy in the Americas and the Caribbean. Specialized in giving most up-to-date service in employment law and the ever-evolving field of human rights, as well as in employment, constitutional and international human rights litigation. Given my double specialty, I am the point of contact for matters such as employment discrimination consultation and litigation, termination of employment contracts, legal project management in various jurisdictions, application of work-from-home schemes, advisory in best practices when applying technology in the workplace, among others.

The Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), is the responsible in ECIJA to cultivate a working environment that promotes and respects diversity and inclusion. For that end, the position develops all initiatives to boost inclusion, such as give trainings or prepare activities for the workforce. Also, he must assist in the recruitment processes, in order to verify the fulfillment of non-discrimination standards, as well as procure the employment of a diverse workforce. The CDO must identify the areas in which the organization can improve in terms of diversity and inclusion. He can investigate or require rectification in the event of a complaint against a discriminatory practice, and can support (or be a part of), the Investigative Committee against Sexual Harassment in the workplace.
