Manage team providingInbound logistics execution and planning for new products to North and South America

Responsibilities start with the analysis of historical information for delivery packages and stops. The core responsiblity of planning the business units in the Austin area uses this information. After plans are set and distributed, adherence to the plan is monitored for compliance. Plans include staffing plans, daily operating plans, new operation master operating plans, project management, and cost plans. Large part of position is planning addition of new operations in Austin,TX.

Selected to ten person team in charge of optimizing routes in order to maximize cost effectiveness while maintaining customer satisfaction, safety, and service. The special assignment requires that I analyze street listings for the given area, audit listings for anomalies and mistakes, verify area mapping for audit for accuracy, and ride along with package delivery drivers to implement changes in order to convey all expectations through training and supervision.

As a manager at UPS I am responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of dispatch plans that maximize center efficiency and achieve desired business results, including reducing excess hours, managing payroll, training, customer service, and safety and OSHA compliance. Develop and manage a workforce of 55 employees including daily dispatch and delivery of 15,000 packages, as well as determine employees' development and performance improvement evaluations in accordance with UPS policies. Daily, plan the use of people, technology, and vehicle resources in order to deliver all packages in a safe and productive manner with the customers needs in the mind. Weekly plan people resources around vacation and attendance issues in order to insure all vital numbers are met in Six Sigma environment. Monthly work with employees to effectively train employees in safety, quality, and production initiatives. Monthly and quarterly gather safety, service, cost, and production numbers for entire work group and report numbers to corporate office. All must be done while immediately addressing concerns as they arise from customers, employees, colleagues, cross functional management, and superiors.

As a package driver for UPS, it was my job to deliver and pick up all packages within my work area while focusing on safety, service, and production initiatives from superiors. In this position it was important to have personal skills as the face of the company to the customer.

Managed daily workforce of 5 - 20 employees including part time laborers and part time supervisors to ensure that all packages brought into Austin hub were loaded onto trailers for departure by designated time in order to meet on time network requirements. Responsible for the training and supervision of all employees in fast paced decision making position focusing on safety, quality, and production.
