Chief Economist For See
Sofia, Sofia City, Bulgaria
At Tavex, the biggest bullion dealer in East Europe, I led and executed pivotal projects, oversaw the company’s economic media, online and offline presence, and started many initiatives.Managing all content for Bulgaria, Serbia, and Romania, I wrote and edited economic and financial analyses, had regular media appearances, and supported all colleagues with insights. I coordinated external authors as well and was the primary speaker at events like conferences, interviews, workshops, and trainings. I wrote over 200 articles for Tavex and had dozens of media and other appearances. To enhance user experience, I introduced interactive infographics, making Tavex one of the first companies in Bulgaria and the first in Serbia and Romania to adopt such a tool. My work aligned closely with the marketing strategy – I supported email marketing, generated ideas, and provided various advertorial content.Being responsible for the SEO on the three markets, I managed a contractor company and ensured all articles, both new and existing, were Google-optimized. I also wrote content for landing and other pages on the site. This led to significant organic ranking growth and improved key relevant indicators. On my initiative, I launched a podcast on economics and finance, making Tavex one of the pioneers in corporate podcasting in Bulgaria. Moreover, I created dedicated Facebook groups to foster communities in each country and delivered unique content tailored to the audiences’ interests in economics, finance, and precious metals. There were almost 5 thousand people in the Bulgarian group when I left the company. As the Editor-in-Chief of The Gold Newspaper, the flagship print publication of Tavex, I directed the entire process of the paper’s creation – from concept to logistics, while simultaneously, contributing articles and charts, coordinating external authors, artists, and designers, and ensuring a seamless execution of print and delivery.
