Led team of 10 non-commissioned officers and soldiers calculating and directing safe firing of 155mm howitzer rounds from M109A7 Paladin artillery asset for 110-person battery. Managed training, certification and welfare. Directed projects in 4 additional operational areas to help sustain battery operations.• Planned and led fire direction center training for 762-person battalion; collaborated with 6 other fire direction officers to synchronize efforts; enabled effective training for 60 soldiers; adopted as standard procedures for 762-person battalion. • Assisted in fielding new fire direction processing laptop and planned initial training for battalion; optimized proficiency.

Led 3-person team overseas in South Korea calculating and directing artillery fire support operations for 95-person troop. Managed employment, safety, and maintenance of Bradley Fire Support Vehicle and over $3 million of associated equipment. Directed safe employment of 2 mortar sections with 14 personnel each.• Oversaw rocket and missile live fires for 560-person battalion; observed over 50 missions in South Korea, most of 13 other officers in battalion; led employment of new Harris radio with range of 250 miles, first section in squadron to do so. • Analyzed requirements; developed/led instruction of certification course to support job-specific training; assisted commander of 95-person unit in qualifying 72 new soldiers as fire support officers; enhanced troop effectiveness. • Liaised with 6,000-person South Korean mortar brigade and instructed unit on how US deploys troops and provides effective fire support and training; enabled joint operation that combined troops for mass firing missions during training. • Rated by commander for “leadership that separates him from peers” and for “continually exceeding expectations”; noted as “resilient” and “proven” leader with “highest level of integrity” and “unlimited potential” for increased responsibility.

I attended The Basic Office Learning Course Field Artillery for 6 months before I entered the Conventional force of the United Stated Army. Here I Graduated top 15% of the class of 144 and while I attended BOLC I was the platoon leader of my peers, chosen by the cadre.

As my first position on active duty I served as a Gold Bar recruiter where I helped current high school seniors know what paths were available. I was at UNCC, and I recruited 34 students to join the UNCC ROTC unit and gave presentations at 18 schools in the CMS school district.

I worked as a land guide during the summers at the USNWC. I was entrusted to check gear for safety and to work on a 100ft tower sending zipliners down. This job required developed communications skills as we lead customers through safely rigging into the zipline. Often we had to persuade patrons to be brave and to go down the ziplines.

I worked as an apprentice to my uncle in his construction business. This summer I learned many skills and did everything from demolition jobs to finishing wood working jobs.
