The Army offered me this position, based on my in depth understanding of employee relations and international policies.I led a multination team to develop a new system for tracking personnel around Afghanistan. The new system that was implemented, improved the operating knowledge, collaboration and cultural understanding between allied nations. This then reduced the multinational headquarters response time when incidents occur.I helped establish a new policy relating to the awarding of medals to Australian personnel. I engaged with the United States Embassy in Australia and provided them with updated Australian processes around security vetting. The new policy saw a significant reducing in processing time.I developed more efficient operating procedures with other international Business Partners. These communication breakdowns were affecting the overall capability of the NATO headquarters. The improvements enhanced collaboration, lowered cultural barriers, which then boosted the overall capability of the headquarters processes.I proactively advised senior leaders regarding policies across several nations, coaching them so the right decisions could be made.
