Leading teams of people is one of my greatest passions. I absolutely love developing solid relationships with my team members. With a focus on genuine connection, I strive to build equity and trust with each of them over time. When deadlines are tight, and are backs are against the wall, I know the people I manage are always willing to go the extra mile because we’re in it for the same reason, and we believe in what we’re doing — and each other.At any given time, I’m managing 15–20 projects in various stages of production. Some are shorter term projects lasting a week or two, while others take anywhere from 2–10 months to complete. With so many moving targets and hard deadlines, I had to fix my eye on maximizing efficiencies and streamlining workflows. I overhauled our production systems to ensure all teams could successfully get their piece of the puzzle down the assembly line at key deadlines. The systems and workflows I designed have doubled our output from 20–25 publications per year up to 45–50 per year.Outside of learning and implementing new software technologies to streamline production processes, I’ve also managed IT infrastructure for the past 8 years — including an in-house 30TB file server, switches and routers, over 25 Mac desktop workstations, a couple PCs and various printers and other networked devices. I’ve kept operating systems and business/creative software suites up-to-date, and have been the onsite tech support for 25+ employees. Training staff to effectively use the tools we rely on is something I take great pride in as well.As a leader, I influence major changes in company culture and operations every day. I’m a champion for accountability. I’m on the front lines managing relationships with high-level corporate clients. I negotiate pricing with our printers and other vendors. I train our employees to succeed, and I provide stability in a fast-paced environment. Resourcefulness is my superpower. I get stuff done!
