I am a medical oncologist who spent 15 years in academics (Yale, University of Pittsburgh, Harvard) before moving to the pharmaceutical industry. I held senior positions at several large and small pharmaceutical companies before founding my own company in 2006. The first of those companies successfully licensed its technology to Sanofi for $375M. Currently I am CEO of Alopexx Enterprises which invests and manages a group of operating companies with programs in oncology, infectious diseases, Alzheimer's, and rare diseases. I hold numerous roles in those operating companies - CEO, CMO and Board Chairman. The operating companies I have managed have all proven to be successful in achieving their clinical endpoints. Many of those companies are now being considered for sale or major fundraising in anticipation of an IPO. The success of those companies has resulted in there being less of a need for me to actively manage those companies. As a consequence I am looking for new opportunities and challenges.
