We are responsible for staff recruitment, management and welfare, on-the-job training across all departments, leading guided walks and Game drives, General and vehicle maintenance, Logistics, preparing menus, meeting and greeting guests, interacting and working closely with the local masai tribe on the community projects that the camp is involved in, as well as the usual administrative duties.As well as improving the camp by making numerous small changes to the service levels, decor and overall, feel of the camp, we have also greatly improved the menu, built a pizza oven, introduced various new guest activities, done a huge staff re-shuffle, streamlined the re-supply ordering systems, introduced a comprehensive stores management system, revamped and improved the plumbing and electrical systems throughout the camp and are in the process of starting a kitchen garden to provide fresh fruit, veg and herbs for our guests.In addition to the above we were also heavily involved in the complete rebuild/renovation of the camp and gave up our down time during the low season to oversee the contractors. During the months of Feb to may 2013 we were responsible for overseeing the taking down and rebuild of the main building, including Bar/lounge, kitchen and mess area, as well as 9 of the 18 guest rooms. We now have a completely revamped public guest area and 9 beautiful new rooms that are completely bat and insect proof as well as an upgraded kitchen building, public washrooms and brand new stone terrace and fire pit from which to view the sunset.
