I am a Johns Hopkins SAIS MAIR Candidate for the Class of 2025, with a concentration in International Economics and Finance, as well as a regional concentration in Latin America.I am interested in pursuing political risk analysis and consulting opportunities following my time at SAIS, because I enjoy work that involves collaboration with a variety of stakeholders, and bringing people with different perspectives together to find effective solutions.I have an academic background in international affairs, as well as a professional background in government and public health. Following my undergraduate career, I spent two years in Louisiana working for state government, including assisting with the state's COVID-19 response and mitigation of the opioid epidemic. I followed this experience with a year working with the NGO Shatterproof to help stem the opioid epidemic nationwide. These experiences helped me learn to better communicate with outside partners as well as become comfortable with a number of platforms including STATA, Salesforce, and Microsoft EXCEL.I have enhanced my time at SAIS through serving as a trip leader for the 2024 Tunisia Study Trek. With other student organizers, I helped plan a study trek for other students to visit Tunisia to understand the multi-dimensional issue of migration in the country. We met with different groups including the US Embassy, UN Resident Coordinator, The World Bank, among others. One of my main hobbies is learning foreign languages. I am fully proficient in French (C1), and am professionally proficient in Spanish.
