As a police and city contracted tow operator, there really was no option of whether I felt the vehicle was being moved properly or not. The vehicle was being towed, and that's all there was to it. Throughout the years, I was always looking for a better way of towing special vehicles.The flatbed has been the "best and only" option for moving these vehicles. But, some cars are simply not designed to be loaded at an angle. Flatbeds are designed to move everything from cars and motorcycles to forklifts, heavy equipment and shipping containers. How can something designed with such a broad stroke of applications possibly handle the Specific needs of high end exotics and lowered tuner and custom cars? Well quite simply, they can't. The operator of a flatbed needs to use planks of wood, plastic ramps or some other contraption to assist in reducing the loading angle. Often, this extra equipment causes it's own problems when ramps shift and end up damaging the vehicle being loaded.
