About Daniel Wallis
I grew up in rural Michigan and learned at a very young age that hard work was a way of life, and success doesn't come on a silver platter; it’s earned. Those values have guided me throughout my diverse career. I enjoy challenging jobs and being pressed by deadlines. After a couple engineering degrees from Arizona State University, I went to work for Ford Motor Company in the Climate Control Division. I held several positions during my tenure. Product Design Engineering was my first stop. Design reviews, manufacturing reviews, and vehicle builds were the continuous functions that lead to successful launches. After Product Design Engineering, I moved on to Subsystem Development Engineering. It involved extensive cross-functional team interactions. I worked on a complex global platform which required numerous vehicle wind tunnel tests. I conducted warm and cold weather management sign-off test trips throughout the program. They occurred in several countries including the U.S., Canada, England, France, Spain and Finland.My next positions were located at a components manufacturing plant. By this time, spinning off the Ford Climate Control Division as Visteon Corporation was just around the corner. The first position I held was Manufacturing Process Engineer where I was responsible for managing the heater core manufacturing process. My next position was Heater Core Future Model Manufacturing Engineer. I developed quotes for all potential new heater core business, and purchased all facilities, tooling and equipment for new business. My next adventures brought me back to Phoenix, where I started a decade in business related jobs. I eventually became owner of a retail business myself. I managed the business for 9 years. The opportunity arose to sell, so that leaves me seeking another rewarding adventure in the job market. I have a multitude of experiences and a diverse background to offer a company, so I’m confident it will be extremely positive for both parties.
