Working in the North Sea on the Sedco 704 for Transocean as the QHSE Advisor, acting as installation subject matter expert for company HSE management system. Supporting HSE Manager/Rig Manager and Company Rep regarding communication and interface with HSE and Decc. Internal/external audits and self-assessment audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Formulating and promoting rig-based HSE & Environmental performance plans. Leading all aspects of incident investigation from evidence gathering and statement taking to conducting the investigation and report writing. Mentoring/coaching/monitoring personnel at the worksite giving guidance on task specific risk assessments/Safety interventions and management of change, delivering of rig-based training PTW/Confined Space/COSHH/Fall Protection. Provide a link between QHSE & training organizations and the offshore workforce, book and administer onshore and offshore training for rig-based personnel. Entering information/reports into the rig management system and the global management system on a daily basis. Liaison between rig and drilling company on QHSE related issues. Implementation of action plans for improvement actions/corrective actions and short term non compliances ensuring they are both tracked and completed. Communicate alerts, bulletins and advisories through daily meetings and deliver presentations to all on board on a weekly basis.

• Operate tongs, winches and all drill floor equipment required for making up or breaking out tubulars; perform all other tasks necessary to drill a well, competent in all aspects of Manriding operations and rig floor related maintenance tasks, worked manual derrick both in running or racking pipe/tools/riser. Assisted in nippling up or down the Blow Out Preventer (BOP) stack and in running and retrieving BOP. Been involved in well completion from start of wells to well test and completion, assisted in both the pump room and pit room during drilling of sections and also maintenance of mud management systems.

• Rigging and slinging, Helicopter operations, Anchor handling, Banking and securing loads, preparing cargo for backload and working with supply vessels, working with drilling crew. Actively taking part in Think Planning and Start monitoring. Assist with the mixing of mud chemical, competent in using hand signals, radio and PA communication systems. Working as part of a crew or as individual on a two and two rotation.

• Acted as role model for team members working closely with team supervisor; worked in arduous conditions for long periods of time still maintaining high standards of professionalism, advisor to senior management and senior executives, coordinate simulated operational activities, audit / inspections of equipment. Situation handling and problem solving under pressure, instructing and teaching of UK and overseas forces, planning events, timetable and programme writing, use of translator for presentations and questions and answers.
