- Provide direct nursing care to residents while supervising tasks performed by LPN’s and CNA’s. - Prepare and administer medications and treatments prescribed by the physician while reviewing medication cards for completeness and accuracy.- Coordinate with nursing staff and support personnel to plan shifts’ services, programs, and activities to ensure total regimen of care is provided.

- Implement and coordinate the delivery of care in collaboration with physician and resource healthcare personnel.- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in applying nursing knowledge. - Document all pertinent information regarding nursing care, observations, and care plans. - Complete and submit OASIS assessments, reassessments, transfers, resumption of care, discharges and significant changes in condition.

- Conduct systemic, continuous and comprehensive assessments of patient health status from admission to discharge across the care continuum to ensure patient safety, collaborating with the health care team and family. - Independently administer medications per license authority while assessing medication effects. Documenting administration and observations in a timely manner according to company policy. - Supervise LPN’s and CNA’s quality of care thru communication with patients and their family. Educate and train field staff in any deficiencies of care.
