Delegated Project Design Authority for the 4LM project being delivered to Transport for London. Working in alignment with the chief PDA, I oversee the design and system implementation activities for the provision of the technical solution. This includes governance of the engineering system delivery lifecycle through gated reviews instilled in accordance with company practices. I led the transformation to bring in GIS and BIM technology and practices into the Thales’s URS projects. This has involved spearheading the delivery of a LiDAR survey of the LUL infrastructure to allow for absolute position referencing to be used during on-site installation and testing activities, reducing the need to take onsite measurements and thus cutting expensive on-site manual man-power.

- Currently the on-shore Principal Systems Engineer for the signalling system delivery of a new railway line for MTR in Hong Kong.- Working with the offshore counterpart, I oversee design coordination and development activities for the implementation of the technical solution, including requirements analysis, completion of stage work plans, design reviews and functional descriptions leading to HW/SW design activities. - Leading design activities related to system interfaces, liaising with interfacing contractors and customer stakeholders. - Provide technical support for other project teams, notably Testing & Commissioning, acting as point of contact when clarifications and solutions are required.

- Acting Senior Design Engineer for the installation of co-acting signals and re-tuning of delta track circuits to permit a new signalling system to be incorporated on the Victoria Line.- Safety case approval for the increase in reaction time of platform-based Passenger Emergency Alarms on the Victoria line.- Design Engineer working on the Watford Junction P&C renewal project.- Signal design activities for P&C renewal projects. Tasks included correlation, review of designs, production of associated test copies, wire counts and master revisions.

- Design Engineer working on the Victoria Line Upgrade, as part of the LUL PPP. Completed scheme designs for several sites, in both a final layout and an overlay design.- Heavily involved with developing requirements for new simulation tools used for signalling designs on the project.- Carried out detailed design activities, including the completion of control tables, bookwirings, ATO/ATP data preparation and other associated deliverables.- Reviewed Signalling Principles Specification, Design Standards and Application Manuals for the introduction of new signalling system onto London Underground.

- Project Engineer for the Wimbledon Branch Compromised Overlaps Project. Responsible for delivery of mitigating signal design works for this area. This includes acceptance of designs, scheme plans and specifications, completing and adhering to cost, time and resource estimates, and providing technical support to safety and project personnel and other external 3rd parties.- Signal Design Preparer. Preparing signal design modifications and improvements to the London Underground signalling infrastructure in accordance with LUL signal design process.

- System requirements checking and drafting of specifications, for a new, network-wide train identification and management information project encompassing all but three London Underground lines, in its pre-contract award stage.

- Developed and completed a 17-month ‘fee-earning’ graduate trainee scheme, delivering various engineering work packages whilst satisfying IEE’s training requirements. Experience was gained in the areas of rolling stock, signalling and control, in which design, simulation, testing, acceptance and quality assurance processes and tasks were undertaken.
