SDE summer internship experience at Amazon on Intelligent Corrective Controls team within InfoSec org. Created a fully functional and internally deployed static website tool for facilitating the process of writing Sheepdog remedy templates. Learned and gained a lot of industrial experience with technologies like React, TypeScript, Redux, Jest, and Git. Learned how to design wireframes using Balsamiq Wireframes. Learned a lot about the importance of leadership principles like diving deep, being curious, delivering results, customer obsession, and bias for action. Gained a lot of experience with seeking feedback and revising. Gained valuable communication skills via daily standups and meetings with mentor and manager.

Project name: SwishyModBotWorked on a team during Dubhacks 2020 hackathon (10/17 - 10/18) to create a Twitch chat toxicity moderation bot. Created using Java, with APIs and libraries such as Twirk, Twitch IRC, and Google Cloud’s NLP. Uses NLP to determine the toxicity of each chat message. If a chat user has exceeded the toxicity limit on average in their past 4 messages, the bot sends a high toxicity alert, notifying the online moderators. Personally, helped with coding and understanding/incorporating the APIs/libraries that we worked with.

Designed a Java Swing GUI application entirely independently from scratch for efficiently labeling character-based images with info such as joint locations, tags, and bounding box for subsequent machine training. Also helped gather and process data for labeling. Learned a lot about Java Swing, Linux, JSON, and Git. Gained some experience with Python.
