In late 2017 I applied for a job on the employee sharesave team and was offered a senior administrator position on the maturity team. My role is to ensure that the employee’s shares are allotted upon maturity and that they receive their requested options. This involves working thoroughly and accurately to tight deadlines, we perform a lot of manual movements so any mistake could amount to a huge loss for the company.

In January 2016 I was offered a promotion to team leader of the Proxy team.Proxies is a very important team for the company, as a share registrar, all clients we care for are obliged to have an AGM. As a team it was our responsibility to process the proxy votes for the meetings, collate these figures to pass onto the client in an accurate and timely matter so they can be used at their AGM. I oversaw the team making sure that we met all our deadlines. With AGM's on a daily basis and thousands of votes to input for each client the workload was very fast paced.

When I left college I started work at Equiniti registrars as a temp on the ‘Letter of Indemnity Team', after a year I was offered a permanent contract. My main duties consisted of constructing letters and issuing replacement certificates to shareholders.Whilst working on Letters of Indemnity I noticed an improvement that could be made to our form, this was to add an address box where the replacement certificate should be sent to. My suggestion was applied and is now used on every form issued. Once fully trained on Letters of Indemnity I was given the opportunity to develop and further my knowledge to be a key member who dealt with the teams email inbox, query tracker and also referral queues. I was later trained in the workflow controller role. As part of this role I had daily meetings with the floor manager while also speaking to our offshore team in India.
