The role I carried out is titled as Switchgear/Maintenance Service Engineer, brief outline of the role as follows:• 24-hour callout emergency cover fortnightly for LV Switchgear• Thermal imaging and meter calibrations of LV Switchgear/distribution boards/PDU’S• Installation/re-connection/testing/commissioning of LV switchboards on sites all across the UK• Installation/retro fitting switchgear into old switchgear panels on planned shutdown time (working under pressure from clients to turn power back on)• Testing all switchgear / fault finding switchgear which has been built inside the workshop before it gets delivered to site• Writing of method statements and risk assessments prior to carrying out all works on site.

Northwest

Working within the Liverpool recruitment agency, I was working as an installation electrician. Working across various projects throughout the northwest over the space of 4 months. Listed below are the job that I worked on:• Garswood primary school re-wire (small commercial project)• Office refurb in central Manchester• A school academy working away from home in a town called Ellon (north of Aberdeen, Scotland)• Liverpool exhibition center (large commercial and industrial works carried out on this project.All the above projects that I worked on helped my experience grow as an electrician as I was challenged on every job with new tasks that I overcome.
