My current position is a Number 2, in a build team consisting of a foreman and myself. Installing Rapid EV Chargers for a UK leading EV Charging Company. We are Sub-Contracted via a Civil Engineering Company. Our responsibility as a build team is to complete all groundwork’s to specification and drawings set out by our 1 up and their client. As a build team we are required to conduct the following (not limited to): Read and understand drawings to specification, Conduct C.A.T scanning and understand GPR Surveys prior to works commencing, Conduct excavations using plant machinery, Install groundwork products as per the client and local authority’s specifications to meet the necessary requirements, re-instate the work area to the specification outlined within the job requirements.Listed above are some of the main areas of a build team’s job role, but we can offer much more!

My role as a Senior Sergeant within a GBAD (Ground Based Air Defence) Regiment was to manage and allocate tasks to teams of 20-30 personnel on a highly technical and sophisticated Air Defence Platform known as Sky Sabre. Highly experienced on Air Defence Weapon Platforms, Radar Sensors operating at Medium Range and Command and Control Reporting Centres both static and mobile across any domain, also including that of Tactical Data Links. It was my responsibility in a managing role to ensure Operational Commitments and Readiness were always met, program development and Air Defence Planning. It was my responsibility to manage the Careers of the Individual Soldiers under my Command in their development through Bi-Annual Report Writing and Grading to ensure continued promotion throughout their time in the Military. I was always first choice for high profile and demanding tasks, due to my experience and breadth of knowledge within the Air Defence Sector along with a ‘cool headed’ and methodical approach to tasks. I would work alongside industry partners and SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to identify solutions and overcome challenges to develop new working practices and procedures to ensuring safety whilst operating highly demanding and technical equipment worth in the 10’s of Millions.
