My role in this position is manufacture from engineer’s drawings various projects using a variety of techniques. The main techniques used are drilling, fabricating, MIG and TIG welding, grinding, painting and assembling. I am responsible for delivering quality projects on time dedicating overtime to the job if necessary.Achievements include a wide range of different projects manufactured to a high standard expanding my experience across the field.

A lot of my time working here was spent Oxy-propane Cutting, Welding, Grinding, Use of Cranes and forklift trucks. My first job here was to insulate the extra deck that was being built for the Aurora 5 project. After this I had a major role in fixing the slipway cradle as just before I started here the foundations cracked and the Steel beams needed removing. To do this I had to Oxy cut all the overhead welds from the cradle. My final job at Harwood Marine was on the Coraki Glebe Bridge. We were tasked with the reconstruction project of the bridge which included repairs to the original bridge and also the mirror image construction of parts that where to far gone to repair.

I first started on the farm with no experience with animals at all, however after 8 months I can now say I am confident and competent when it comes to the care of Horses and Dogs. My time here was spent looking after 100 horses and 60 dogs. Duties included, feeding, cleaning and caring for these animals.Whilst working here I put to use my welding and fabrication skills along with some new found skills including fencing and using a tractor.

Site Work

I started work for MR electrical on a 3 month contract as a Labourer.Whilst working for MR electrical I learnt many new skills.Some of my duties included aiding a solar panel expert fit solar panels to mainly new build houses, chasing out walls and 2nd fixing electrical components, running and capping cables, cutting and installing ducting and assisting with thermostat installation.
