Following the acquisition of Future Energy Group I continued in my role as Financial Controller whilst supporting a number of transition projects including - • Migrating the accounting software to Sage 200.• Reducing the number of payroll companies from 5 to 1 whilst migrating the payroll software and transferring the processing of payroll to a centralised function.• Part of the business integration team of Dragon Infrastructure Solutions (Northampton) into EAU Group working alongside HR, IT, Compliance and Operations to align processes and facilitate transition whilst facing challenges regarding staff retention and both companies being at different stages following acquisition by Energy Assets Group.

Future Energy Group is a leading multi utility infrastructure provider. Taking care of all aspects of utility installations from concept to completion utilising an in house design team and direct labour force to deliver a complete turnkey solution to it's customer's requirements. It has an annual turnover of £16m and has 150 employees.• Managed all aspects of the groups finance function/team with responsibility for Banking, Cashflow Forecasting, AP & AR Ledgers, Payroll and HMRC Compliance, Monthly Management Reporting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Annual Audits.• Assisted in the sale of the company by the previous shareholders through helping to put together an information memorandum and providing responses to the due diligence process.• Worked closely with IT and the Operations department to develop an integrated contract costing system which provides gross margin analysis on a contract-by-contract basis. This is something the company did not previously have but is now integral to reporting the business performance.

A Lean manufacturer supplying kitchens to the social housing sector with an annual turnover of £19m and 300 employees.• Involved in post MBO business transition and gained experience of reporting against banking covenants.• Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts through to P&L and Balance Sheet and providing statistical information for the Board Pack.• Production and monitoring of the company’s 60-day cash flow forecast.• Calculation and submission of the quarterly vat return.• Coordinating and valuing quarterly and annual stock takes.• Processing and payment of monthly salaries.• Year end payroll including P60’s, P11D’s and online filing.• Monthly reporting to budget holders including variance reports.• Managing 7 members of staff fulfilling key accounts duties including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Weekly Payroll, Bank reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register. • Managerial responsibilities also include Interviewing, Appraisals and Disciplinary procedures.• Assisting with the company’s financial year end including providing key information for the published accounts and liaising with external auditors.

• Assisting the Company Accountant in the preparation of the monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.• Processing and payment of the weekly Payroll for 180 Employees.• Calculation of employee’s taxable benefits and notifications to the Inland Revenue.• Maintenance of the company’s Fixed Asset Register including asset addition, disposals, and calculating depreciation.• Assisting in preparation of annual Budgets.• My role also included providing additional resource to support the purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and cashier during busy periods and to cover annual leave. This enabled me to gain a broad understanding of the key aspects of managing a busy finance team.
