Developed an anti phishing project at 16 years old which resulted in a 3rd place position in the Years 10-12 bracket in the Queensland Buysmart Competition 2020. Me and my best friend Isaac Sibley collaborated to construct a children's story book with the purpose of educating 7-12 year olds about the dangers of phishing attacks. In our research, we found that phishing was one of the most common successful scams in Australia. Children are highly susceptible to phishing attacks because they are new to the internet and are also socially underdeveloped. Children are likely to be victims of phishing attacks in online video game environments where the scammer promises the child a rare cosmetic, powerup or currency in exchange for their password. Educating these Children now can prevent them from falling for phishing attacks when they are older and falling for phishing attacks can have devastating financial outcomes. We also intended to protect them from the trauma caused from losing an account where they have game items they care about.Areas of interest: User experience, Cybersecurity, internet of things, game development, software development, web development, virtual reality.
