Paysafe is a large FinTech group listed on the New York Stock Exchange, specialising in global payments. The group completed its listing on NYSE in March 2021 at a valuation of $9bn. Paysafe was previously listed on the London Stock Exchange and a FTSE 250 constituent until its acquisition by Blackstone and CVC in December 2017.During my role as VP, Group Finance/Group Financial Controller, I was ultimately responsible for several finance functions including global financial control, group accounting and financial reporting, regulatory reporting and finance transformation.I was heavily involved in Paysafe's IPO readiness journey and led several projects that targeted large-scale transformation and maturity of Paysafe's finance function.Managing a global team of 80+ heads, responsibilities and achievements included:- Management of the group's consolidation and global close process, encompassing 70+ subsidiaries.- Ultimate responsibility for global financial and regulatory reporting, including IFRS and US GAAP group and subsidiary financial statements, management and investor reporting, regulatory reporting to the FCA and CBI etc. Responsibility for global external audits.- Board director for several U.K. subsidiaries. Voting member of various committees, including the Safeguarding and Treasury Committee (which had oversight of the Group's ICAAP and ILAAP).- Key team member on corporate development projects including M&A deals ( >$2bn of deals whilst I was at Paysafe), debt issuances and corporate restructures. Owner of end-to-end finance workstreams on these projects as well as the provision of wider support on financial diligence, deal modelling, review of deal structuring and purchase agreements etc.-Development of the Group's finance operating model and transformation, including system implementations, automation, control maturity, development of the Group's finance shared service strategy etc.

Responsible for leading audit engagements and other advisory projects for a wide range of clients including FTSE, AIM and US listed groups, large and medium sized PE backed entities and VC backed companies. The accounting advisory and non-audit projects I led included several high profile IPOs, buy side and sell side M&A, debt raises, as well as complex group restructures.
