Daniel is greatly fascinated by the role which deconstruction plays in innovation, as well as the balance between disruption and continuity when designing for the contemporary product market. He is aware of the importance of recognizing environmental impacts of the product creation process and believes strongly that it is his responsibility as a designer to minimize those wherever possible within his process.He likes to take a scientific approach in his process, often exploring a multitude of material possibilities and methods of fabrication for building models that demonstrate design concepts. Because of how prototyping has influenced his own design methodology, he is invested in the idea that teaching designers early on about processes of making and encouraging exploration is instrumental in fostering innovative approaches and inspiring new creative possibilities.He finds it natural to immerse himself in the context and/or the community he designs for. He looks to stimulate his professional creative process through outside activities such as composing music, playing soccer or rock climbing.The importance of staying curious, not being afraid to start from scratch, and any opportunity to collaborate with individuals of various disciplines, are things that Daniel greatly values on and off the field. He is always looking for new challenges.
