Waiting on tables alongside a team of, front of house and kitchen staff with a range of responsibilities to carry out. Working in this environment required me to have good communication skills and the ability to work with my colleagues effectively as well as use initiative to deal with any complaints from customers. For example on a busy night I was required to ensure all the tables were receiving the same service and this required all the staff to be informed of the tables requirements. This job also developed my management skills as I was often required to run the front of house, therefore, I needed time management and leadership skills.
