Inverkeithing

Developed web applications in ASP.NET MVC (C#), Angular and C# (Web API using a REST backend) and Blazor. Also worked on handheld applications in Xamarin and MAUI. Enhanced multiple legacy VB6 and VB.NET (both Winforms and ASP.NET Webforms) applications with new functionality. Converted multiple legacy VB6 applications to VB.NET. All applications used SQL Server as the database.

Inverkeithing

Role involved supporting customers who use Newgate's healthcare systems which are based on SQL Server databases. The role also involves the maintenance and development of Visual Basic 6, VB.NET and ASP.NET products.

Worked for Jumpstart, helping our clients obtain research and development tax credits from HMRC. The role involves meeting clients, discussing the projects they have worked in the claim periods, writing reports on the projects and capturing the eligible costs.

Dalgety Bay

Worked as Development Support Engineer at Ingenico on a 6 month contract which was extended. Supported third party developers writing software for payment terminals as well as providing support for customers using the Ingenico's Axis payment processing solution. Received training on the SDK for the terminals at the company headquarters in Paris.

IntelligentComms is a telecoms expense management company. Used the companies Veropath software to perform bill checks, reprices and proof of savings. Reprices were performed to check the amount that clients would be paying if they switched to another provider. Proof of savings were performed to check that after switching provider, the client had obtained the savings specified. Imported invoice data from a number of providers with different formats into the Veropath system. Amended Python scripts to handle changes in data formats from the providers. Wrote queries in SQL Server to obtain data from the database that the Veropath software had not been amended to display.

The team and product I worked on for Ventraq was acquired by Daisy Group Plc. During this time I mainly worked on the migration of a COBOL based billing system to a SQL Server based billing system.

Ariston Global acquired ACE*COMM in February 2009 and merged the telecoms businesses (ACE*COMM/TeleSciences/10e Solutions) into Ventraq Inc. Role was the same as with ACE*COMM

ACE*COMM acquired Intasys in March 2004. The role was the same as the role with Intasys. I also worked on two Oracle based billing products during this time. Received training on telecoms mediation at the company headquarters just outside of Washington DC. During this time, I worked on a number of network mandated changes such as Vodafone Stop the Clock (Tiered tariffing), Vodafone Passport and O2 Best for Business. Provided out of hours support for a number of clients during invoice runs, direct debit runs and for hosted and internal hardware.
