I have over 23+ years of experience in business law, contract drafting, vendor/subcontractor issues, conflict resolution, closing real estate transactions, in addition to criminal law, estate planning and family law. I served as a City of Blaine Planning Commissioner for 6 years was appointed co-chairman of the Planning Commission by the mayor of Blaine, Minnesota. This volunteer position deals with municipal regulations, city planning, teamwork, and various real estate transactions from residential to huge corporate projects. As co-chair I had to effectively run televised meetings where people are often emotional and polarized. I also have a background in dealing with vendor disputes, customer disputes, and front end problem solving to quickly and efficiently end problems. I have become very skilled and efficient at negotiations, learning to assess what the real points of disagreement are between parties and thinking of unique ways to solve supposedly unsolvable problems.
