As the director of Data & Analytic Technology at ICA Sweden, Sweden’s largest grocery retailer, I was responsible for setting and leading the data-driven journey across the whole organization. The goal was to make data more readily available to everyone in the organization for self-serve and broader use of insights to accelerate the use of Machine Learning and AI across the company. The role worked close with C-level management and senior key stakeholders in the business and IT. Selection of achievements: - Built an organization of Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data & Analytic Product Owners from ~Grew the organization five-fold ~100 people with six direct reporting Managers. - Set the company’s strategy for Data & Analytics- Responsible for initiating and driving a large transformation program to consolidate multiple legacy data platforms to the GCP (Google Cloud) - Established Data & Analytics DevOps Product teams (~10 teams)- Established Data Governance with Data Owners in the business and built a Data Management team in IT- Introduced Data Products in DevOps teams and architecture in GCP (Data Mesh) - Worked with culture change on enterprise level.

The large degree of customization and development made the implementation extra complex. Managed a mixed team of over 50 resources and reported to CFO and senior executive stakeholders.

Acreo Swedish ICT is a Swedish research institute with 135 employees that offers R&D, production, and consultancy in the field of Sensors and Actuators, Power Electronics, Digital Communication, and Life Science. Since 2018 part of RISE.As Research Developer at ACREO, I built skills and knowledge and expertise in R&D and product development through activities like;- Project Manager for an R&D project to develop a wireless and secure optical communication system. Responsible for the whole chain from modeling of the semiconductor device to design of subsystem. Resulted in a successful demonstration of the prototype and a very satisfied customer. - Development engineer in various telecom projects. Responsible for hardware development and techno-economic analysis of broadband deployment in Europe, working together with some of the major telecom operators and vendors in Europe.
