This position entails in dealing with all areas of the SMS group to improve processes & procedures including implementations of software systems and procedures,ISO standards implementations,support,maintenance on software systems including enhancements & updates, provide training on software applications,compile & design reports,projects management,systems & business analysis,testing & compiling business requirements according to the business needs.I was also responsible for the day-to-day tasks on all databases for SMS Group operations working on SQL Server 2000/2005.In 2008 I was responsible for the smooth running of the IT department; in the absence of an IT Manager. I was the key person to prepare the IT strategic plan for 3 years, prepare proposals for new projects & contract documents,drawing up of IT budgets and monitoring its implementation for the year. I was the Project coordinator for the implementation of the SMS Group ERP system – Access Dimensions. I was also involved in the analysis & design of the interfacing module for the company’s’ system applications to the ERP system. I was appointed Project Manager for the language school system application - CLASS. I was responsible to gather requirements,performed gap analysis,provide solutions and also was the key person to implement the system at school. I was also the Project Manager responsible for the Tourism system. I was responsible to analyse business and systems requirements to issue a Request for Proposal document for local and foreign suppliers to submit their proposals. I was very much involved in the short listing of demos, selection of the system, liaising with third parties and the actual implementation including Gap Analysis. For this project, I also assisted the consultant to apply for EU Grants.My task list also entails gathering website requirements for all SMS Group websites which also entails in liaising with third party suppliers like banks, payment gateway providers and web developers.

The main role of an IT Helpdesk and coordinator within the IT Department consisted of first line of support to the SMS Group which consisted of 300 users; in diverse software and Microsoft applications. My role also entailed inputting all requests into a helpdesk system and allocation of work to the systems administrators or suppliers depending on the type of request. Other duties within this role involved in dealing with local and foreign suppliers for hardware and software licenses procurement, hardware/software inventory, data backups and day to day IT tasks. In addition to this, I also handled sales and marketing in hardware and software products for Advanced Business Solutions (in-house software company) which was a member of the SMS Group of companies.
