L'Arche Ottawa Community belongs to the International L'Arche Federation of communities.L'Arche Ottawa is also an active member of the Ottawa English and French Transfer Payment Agencies supported by the Ministry of Children and Community and Social Services, Ontario Provincial Government.In our community we create a homelike environment for adults with different levels of abilities, called Core members. The core members and assistants live together building authentic relationships, encourage each other to grow, transform and become active members of society.We are a bilingual community, with 6 homes. In addition to our bicultural background we welcome people from around the world making us a true reflection of the Canadian culture. We are a faith base community that grew to be an interfaith welcoming place.My role is to maintain and build partnerships at all levels by:- evaluating present needs and identifying potential opportunities at all levels- building expertise and knowledge with in the community- supporting all members of the community to develop and grow to their full potential- growing and staying open to local, national and international trends- collaborating cross sectors and finding innovative ways to find and improve quality services- promoting and advocating with and for people that have a developmental disability to live in their community at their full potential as equal citizen- continuous development in L'Arche Mission and Vision, Person Centered Approach, LEAN management etc.http://www.larcheottawa.org/

Body Flow Instructor it is a mind and body program that is adapted to all abilities combining Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates.

Coordinated the Worker Bank.Facilitated an effective implementation and the transfer from a local data base to a national online data base www.respiteservices.com.Recruiting Special Needs Workers, registering the families in need of support for their loved one with disabilities and match them based on skills, interests etc.Offered trainings both to workers and families on best practices, resources available.Chaired the Health and Safety Committee.
