As an established marketer with 15+ years in FMCG in Haiti, I have led through a variety of business challenges, from start-up to global manufacturing, gaining a broad experience. I have contributed to Biz-Dev initiatives in various roles, from VP of a multi-national to an owner of a family-run business in the Dominican Republic, building it from the ground-up.In 1999 I joined a progressive American tobacco company in Haiti; during my tenure, I was promoted from Director to Vice-President. I spearheaded creative solutions and achieved significant accomplishments, such as 8% year-on-year growth and 20% cumulative sales increase in a three-year period in dire market conditions.I expanded the distribution, ran innovative promotional campaigns, and managed marketing and sales activities with full P&L ownership. I established a team environment that leverages diversity, inspires and empowers scaling new heights, and persuades to deliver the exceptional routinely.In 2008 life brought me back home; I spent time with my family, traveled, and experienced more about people and cultures. I returned to Haiti in 2010 as Marketing Director of the local brewery and leading soft drinks bottler; Brana is part of the Heineken company since 2012.From turning around brands to running innovative multiplatform communication and engaging CSR campaigns, edified by a global perspective, I experienced considerable successes with double-digit growth and market expansion through innovation and portfolio optimization.Following a restructuring, I returned to the Dominican Republic and invested in the development of a promising and exciting startup. The venture yielded great satisfaction in gaining rapid market traction, recognition, and expansion to 9 points of sale. In the last couple of years, I have been in beta mode; attending to different family commitments, studying, evolving, and collaborating on short projects to improve my skills and get ready for a new challenge.
