My name is Daniela Ceja and I am a first generation student at Fresno State, pursing a bachelors degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Public Health. I am a transfer student from West Hills Community College - Coalinga where I graduated with associates degrees in Biology, Health Science, and Liberal Arts. At WHCC, I worked as a Chemistry Tutor and Chemistry Lab Assistant and was an important member to the Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) program. At Fresno State, I am a part of programs such as Health Professions Pathway (HPP) and Health Careers Opportunities Program (HCOP) under the umbrella program CASA. I currently work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at an subacute long-term facility in Fresno as I work my way through college in order to reach my goal of becoming a physician! I strive to one day come back to the Central Valley and serve our underrepresented communities by being a physician who provides their patients with the accessible healthcare they deserve.
