Daniela is the Executive Director of TANDEM Foundation. She served as Vice Mayor of Quito between 2014-2016 and as City Councilor between 2014-2019. She has implemented programs to promote walking and cycling as sustainable and inclusive forms of transportation and has led several participatory projects to recover public spaces. She created and implemented Quito’s program to report cases of sexual harassment in the city's public transportation system and cofounded the Women in Motion Initiative, a Latin-American network to promote women leadership in transport and sustainable mobility. She is a member of the Leadership Council of Placemaking. Expert in the implementation of urban public policies with a focus on gender and citizen participation. University professor in the Faculty of Political Sciences and Relations International from theUniversity of the Americas.Daniela is a lawyer from the University San Francisco of Quito with a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from The George Washington University, which she attended on a Fulbright scholarship.
