About Daniela De Luca

Class 1992, I was raised in Calabria, Italy - with rollerblades, ballet shoes, INTER F.C., and Walt Disney Classics. Four countries later, I am a communication specialist graduated in Law with a specialization in Transnational Crime and Justice, and Mafia and Organised Crime. I am one of those who believe that The youth is The Present of the world rather than being considered the Future only. That’s why I published my first book at the age of 20 on the fight against the mafia, the value of justice, youth, and ambitions, and soon later, I became a freelance journalist. I spent the last few years traveling, studying, and working in different countries and contexts to gain different skills while deepening my multicultural and international mindset. From volunteering in India as a Global Youth Facilitator for a gender equality project to advocating for quality education in children NGOs; to acquire the European Institution mindset in a Press Unit; to training in the Ordinary and Antimafia Prosecution Office of Reggio Calabria; and finally, to dedicating to youth and organized crime, with the ideation of a video game as an ethics project for schools and universities. Although the classic question is, "What do you want to be in life?" I value “what to do” more than “what to be”: be the change while communicating the change.
