Daniela Di Rosa received the Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in Physics and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Bari, Italy, in 2006 and 2011, respectively. During her research at the University of Bari, Daniela worked with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and ESA (European Space Agency) in the Space Mission Cassini-Huygens and with ASI (Italian Space Agency) on the Nowcasting Project. She began her career in 2007 in Enel as researcher and joined the Enel Foundation in 2012. She has acquired knowledge in the area of universal energy access, e-mobility, sustainable urban development and renewable energy sources including new technologies for energy storage and smart grids. She is directly involved in the research projects design and plan, partners identification (among national and international universities and research centres) and projects coordination. She is contributing author of research project working papers and publications. Daniela received the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing South Italy award for Best Master Thesis in Remote Sensing in 2006.
