Promotion Profitability Estimation Tool: Relying on detailed information about the sales of a store chain, the application offers the possibility to estimate the effect of future promotions, calculating the volume of expected sales and profit. In addition, a series of reports presents the profits gained through past promotions, also considering some side-effects such as “Cannibalization”. The main challenge was related to implementing the complex business logic for a database with millions of records.Basic Materials Institute : This is a site that allows users to interrogate a database and retrieve statistical information about basic materials across the world.
