As a full-time student at the University of Rhode Island, I have been working in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Development and Family Science as well as a minor in Business . Through my time at the University, I have developed an understanding of the significance and principles of Human Development and Family Science as well as my Business. I began my journey through experimenting with different majors, and found a passion for working with young children. I have learned a lot from my classes such as early childhood development, life-span development, the psychology of learning as well as hands on learning experiences in different education centers. I learned through a range of expertise throughout my classes, that I am sure will be helpful to me in the future. In addition, I have had the opportunity to be apart of the Kappa Delta chapter, and held a leadership position as an event coordinator. As a Human Development & Family Science major, I am passionate in working with young children and making an impact in their lives. I am an eager learner and a firm believer that you never stop learning. After graduation, I plan to intern for a behavioral services agency, as well as obtaining my certification if Early Childhood Education. While I plan to teach from grades Pre-K to second, I also hope to learn from the students. I decided to minor in Business Administration to have a brief overview of the world of business and acquire the skills necessary in having working or managing a business. Over the years, I have been able to apply my learning from Business and HDF to each other. The ability to use my leadership, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, and creativity skills has strengthened my performance in all aspects of my career. Additionally I take pride in my skills of working with young children as well as gaining more knowledge go the world of business and hoping to have my own some day.
