Hello, I am Daniela Franco, a freshman at The University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in accounting and finance with a bachelor's or master's degree. During my high school years, I was involved in a cosmetology program that gave me a unique opportunity to earn a cosmetology operator's license, a qualification I still use today in my current work. The skills I developed in cosmetology have proven surprisingly applicable to my desired major. I found interpersonal and communicational skills, customer service, listening, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities. In addition, I actively participated in volunteer work, particularly at church, where I served as an assistant for Sunday youth teachers. This experience allowed me to contribute to the community and develop a sense of responsibility. It taught me the importance of giving back and balancing multiple responsibilities, which I believe will be valuable in my future academic and professional endeavors.
