Manager
Becoming a hostel manager was a great option for a career turn, the position was similar although the change was on the service provided. While working, for Deloitte and PwC at the Global Mobility area we were in charge of assisting the global expatriates, and short term traveller populations to ensure tax compliance globally according to the Tax law and the company’s policy. In this sense the use of the skills owned and developed, the knowledge and the experience acquired while working for international accountancy firms was applied in a position that required the understanding about accountancy, payroll, customer service and administrative procedures (internal and external) always aligned to the company’s policy and procedures that were not necessarily linked to the tax field, as well as the alignment with the abroad offices. Hence, HQ Backpackers became the perfect opportunity for me to merge into a new business field, learning, updating and improving my skills. I also become more interactive, proactive, responsible and independent. As well as having the chance to provide with a direct service to customers with imposed targets, as I am striking always for excellence. I am a hardworking person, highly motivated to learn and passionate about professional challenges as well as professional growth.
