I became a licensed therapist in Colombia in 2017. I had the opportunity of working at a group foster home providing individual therapy to children and their parents, and developing workshops for the parents aiming towards reunification. In the USA, I have gained experience by working with survivors of domestic violence and as a child protection investigator where interviews and assessments were critical to determine their safety. In my almost 4 years of professional experience, I have improved not only my critical thinking skills, but also my ability to connect at a deeper level with the community.I am compassionate, empathetic, fast learner, and receptive to suggestions. I have good problem solving, decision making, and communication skills. My even temper allows me to de-escalate situations with ease. I am eager to continue to grow my career and experience in psychology to help others to navigate their mental health challenges and achieve emotional well-being.
