Daniela is an outgoing, passionate, research scientist pursuing a career in medicine. A true Renaissance woman, Daniela holds a B.S. in biochemistry and a minor in Italian from the University of Notre Dame but enjoys a wide variety of interests from healthcare, wellness, and education to art, music, and dance. She recently earned an M.S. at Columbia University where she was awarded honors on her thesis in therapeutic recellularization in pulmonary fibrosis, and is currently pursuing further study into this area with a new focus on pediatric interstitial lung disease. Because of her research interests and artistic background, Daniela has a special interest in working in Pediatric Pulmonology or Critical Care medicine where she can combine her compassionate nature with cutting-edge biology, biochemistry, and immunology. Through her work and study in New York, Daniela is pursuing her end goal of becoming a more well-rounded future physician and a more powerful public advocate in the medicine.
