Physical parameters tested include pH, conductivity, surface tension, viscosity, density, UV-Vis, particle size, and filterability. Purchase NIST traceable standards, set up new tools, and trouble shoot issues with existing tool set. Led gauge R&R studies to achieve QSA level 1 certification for physicals testing area in April 2018. Designed lab space layout for new QC physicals test area, created tooling SOP's, and designed gauge R&R studies to qualify new tool set. Led knowledge transfer of 3D plastics powder QC test processes from Puerto Rico to HP Corvallis, and currently lead QC testing of the incoming powders. Plastics powders testing includes particle size, bulk density, tapped density, color, solution viscosity, and flowability. R&D technician for 3D plastics and metals agents, including formulation, physicals characterization, and trouble shooting issues with final products. Identified temperature dependent insolubility of metals agent vehicle component. Improved design of metal powder caking experiments. Identified capability to decrease dye loading in a 3D plastics agent, leading to production cost reduction. Developed method to monitor filterability of 3D agent dyes, resulting in shelf-life extension of expiring material, and subsequent cost reduction.
