I coordinated the global post-payment audit team with the aim to ensure that the operational policies are strictly followed. I assessed and implemented mechanisms to effectively improve the audit process, on both Government and private sector areas. I identified the sensitive fraud areas and implemented controls to prevent fraud and mitigate risk. I supported and guided the team members to accomplish their objectives and I monitored team performance.Accomplishments: Built a strong collaboration with HR and Compliance & Ethics Departments and got very good feedback from their side. Extended the audit areas to new sensitive countries from the Corruption Perception Index perspective and different categories of expenses (meals, mileage, week-end expenses etc.) until 95% accuracy in expense submission target was met. Extended the individual investigations area with associated educational or disciplinary actions for the biggest offenders. Developed and updated training materials and delivered training sessions to upfront audit team based on post-payment audit findings, with direct result in improvement of the quality of the pre-payment audit.
