Skye Distribution restructured their business into three different Business Units - Converse, Dickies and Emerging Brands (Brentwood, Cut-rite, Lyle & Scott, Mille and Samson). Unable to divide myself into three, I became a permanent member of the Converse Business Unit where I still manage the PR, alongside a notable PR company, as well as coordinate all retail executions with our amazing group retailers (just over 1000 doors).

At Cutting Edge I am involved in creating online strategies for various clients, blending in the “off-line” approach. I communicate with brands about PR strategies across mediums. Focus on media relations, communicating with various publications regarding creative avenue in which clients receive exposure. We also draft and execute unique client events, as well as draft press releases and content for articles. Responsible for several features in the magazine• How to Spend it• Fashion Opener• Fashion Q&A• Fashion Spread• Beauty Opener• Beauty• Food (and on a monthly rotation: Dirty Weekend, Travel, Pillow Talk, Features) I also handled communicating with PR sources for the exposure of the magazine.My Brand Ambassador role was responsible for representing the LIVEOUTLOUD brand, and communicating with big clients such as Cartier and Audi. My over all role was not simply that of a “editor/journalist” I handle the ground/core aspects of brand awareness at various events. I assist with securing advertisers as well as consult to our LIVEOUTLOUD events company in terms of VIP/Celebrity invites, luxury venue and new concepts.

My responsibilities included writing and sourcing complete stories (which were topically for the week – as we were a weekly publication) as well as take the relevant images required to accompany each article. Monthly I had my own column – “Teen Rage” Two days a week I was also required to do layout of the newspaper.
