Our Operation and Maintenance teams are proactive, leveraging advanced analytics to detect anomalies and prevent equipment failures. With more than 30 years experience in the energy management and sustainability, I am a passionate believer in the ability to conserve energy. All it takes is desire and determination andthe Energy Management team’s achievements recognized by multiple awards demonstrated these qualities. In my previous role as a Senior Project Manager within Facility Management and Planning at University of Toronto Mississauga, I had the opportunity to initiate and develop master plans for M&E infrastructure expansion, supporting a holistic approach of the campus growth. Strategic plans for district energy, building automation and utility monitoring, and back-up power systems were essential to establish the road map of a rapidly growing campus. There were lots of opportunities and I really enjoyed implementing modern and innovative solutions for laboratory modernization projects involving “state of the art” technology.Before joining the team at UTM, I was part of the Office of Energy Initiatives at City of Hamilton. My main mandate as Superintendent Energy Engineering was to inspire, lead and motivate a talented team to accomplish the energy conservation goals and promote sustainability at all levels.Prior to moving to the public sector, I worked as an Energy Engineer at MCW Custom Energy Solutions. Being part of an environment that nurtures professionalism, quality, innovation and fun had provided me with the opportunity to develop a wider range of capabilities and build a complementary set of strengths necessary to become a strong and effective leader who advances transformation.
