My responsibilities in this job have two main pillars:1. Analytical supportI have developed two specialized Excel reporting applications that I use to plan warehouse capacity based on incoming and outgoing stock, as well as to plan warehouse headcount capacity. This process relies on information from our customers' production data and planned inbound stock for each warehouse. Using production line time, I can calculate the amount of pallets the customer will pull for production using different coefficients calculated based on statistical methods.Returns of used packaging materials or pallets:Monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting on trends to company management:- Monitoring underutilization of warehouses by observing monthly trends in warehouse capacity fulfillment from our clients.- Monitoring stock damages, inspecting damaged stock, communicating with clients, preparing data for the quality team and senior management, and comparing data.- Processing additional management requests for statistical data sets.2. Technical supportInventing new and more effective processes between different departments to expedite internal communication and decision-making regarding operational issues. The goal is to make the warehouse operate as efficiently as possible through process changes, implementation of new applications and programs, invention of logical maps, and introduction of new methods. This involves collaboration with IT, analytics, and quality departments. I am essentially the main connection point between warehouses and other company departments.I use SAP on a daily basis and am also a superuser in Qlik and Netgenium. I use Microsoft Visio to prepare flowcharts of new processes.A few months ago, I underwent training for value stream mapping, and I must say that this has become one of my favorite activities, one in which I would like to further develop myself.
