Master’s in political and Electoral Communications Management with the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a bachelor’s degree with Honors in Sociology. As Viva Rio NGO (a not-for-profit Non-Governmental Organization) Director in the United States, I have been working with fundraising, grant writing, monitoring and evaluation of projects implemented in Haiti in the areas of Education, Sanitation, Gender Equality and Empowerment, Sports and Arts. Previously with Viva Rio (2007 to 2010), I coordinated the security and development integrated program, which included working with community violence reduction, conflict mediation, women and youth civic engagement and environment projects in the poor neighborhood of Bel Air in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. During the past 10 years I was also in charge of the NGO fundraising for Haiti through technical writing, grant writing working on the proposal, management, report writing, and monitoring of projects financed by the organizations mentioned above. I have coordinated a team of 32 permanent staff members and more than 500 short term employees. Preparing Interim and Final Reports for all awarded grants to the United Nations International Mission in Haiti, International Labor Organization, India-Brazil-South Africa Fund and Global Affairs Canada for the grants that enabled us to serve our communities in Haiti
